Quality assurance and control

At ELADIET, our Quality Management Systems are evaluated and certified by external control bodies, in accordance with international standardised norms, based on ISO norms as well as Good Manufacturing Practice norms.

ELADIET has the following certifications:

  • ISO 9001: Quality Management System in the design, development, manufacture and sale of food supplements.
  • ISO 22000: Food Safety and Safety Management System in the manufacture of food supplements in both solid and liquid forms.
  • ISO 13485: Quality Management System in the manufacture and sale of medical devices.
  • GMP Food Supplements: Good Manufacturing Practices Quality Management System for food supplements.

Our Quality, Quality Control and Quality Assurance unit ensures the excellence of our suppliers of raw materials, packaging material and services through a robust evaluation system.

Our quality assurance and validation of raw materials is based on different analytical techniques, such as HPLC, Infrared (IR) and microbiology tests.

INFRARED (IR)

The IR (Infrared) technique allows us to identify and release the raw materials that arrive at the laboratory very quickly, as the reading is done in milliseconds.

Eladiet has a library that allows the comparison and subsequent approval of raw materials. Among the many advantages of using IR is that it is not necessary to use a large amount of sample to perform the corresponding reading and to record the characteristic spectrum of the raw material to be analysed, both in solid and liquid form. Furthermore, it is an environmentally friendly technique, as no pre-treatment of the sample to be analysed is required.

MICROBIOLOGY

ELADIET has a Microbiology laboratory where all raw materials and finished products manufactured in our facilities are tested to ensure food safety and innocuousness.

In our facilities, microbiology tests are carried out on pathogens as well as on aerobes and fungi/yeasts.

HPLC

The HPLC chromatographic technique is used to identify and quantify analytical actives and/or markers in both raw and semi-finished materials and in manufactured finished products.

IN-PROCESS CONTROL

ELADIET has implemented a HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) management system to guarantee and ensure the quality of our products. A robust Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point analysis has been carried out on all manufacturing lines and comprehensive controls have been implemented during the manufacturing process to ensure the highest quality at all stages of the manufacturing process.

All these controls, together with our internal training programme and internal and external audits, ensure that our commitment is reflected in the quality of our products.
